Chapter 10
One sunshiny day a little girl named Pippi Longstocking, a boy named Tommy, and another little girl named Annika want to come to Canby Elementary School to visit. When they arrived they found out that the fourth grade class was going on a field trip to Gary’s Gun Shop in Watertown, South Dakota. When they got half way there the bus broke down. Pippi ran home, got her horse and a rope, and rode back to the bus.
When she got to the bus she tied the rope to the front bumper of the bus. Pippi jumped on her horse and said, “Heave!”
The horse pulled the bus all the way to the gun shop. Then Pippi and the other students looked around at all of the guns and knives on display. Pippi found a muzzleloader and said I really like this gun. I think I’m going to buy it. They she loaded the rifle and put her finger on the trigger and aimed the rifle at the elk head behind the counter. Trever and Jordan, two other boys in the group told the other kids in the group Chad, Ryan, Jamie, Zach and Luke to get a 53 by 42 piece of ply wood and put it in front of the bearrle. They Pippi pulled the trigger and then booooom! Tommy and Annika ran into the gun shop to see what was the matter when they got into the gun shop they find Gary the owner of the shop giving Chad, Luke, Jamie, Ryan, Zach, Trever and Jordan a new gun each.
