Chapter 4

Pippi and The Furnace

 

      Once upon a time there was a little girl named Pippi Longstocking. She wore a blue and red dress, had red pigtails, and was very strong. She lived in a house called Villa Villakula. She had no parents. She had a monkey named Mr. Blackwelder and a horse that lived on the porch.

       Pippi decided to go to Canby Elementary School for a visit. When she got there she went to the principal’s office to get a visitor’s button. When she got the visitor’s button she walked through the school to get a good look around, She passes the cafeteria and stopped to look down a hall where some uniforms were hanging. She wondered where the hall led to.

       Pippi an adventurous girl walked all the way to end of the wall and found the furnace. All of a sudden Pippi picks up the furnace and threw it across the room. It was so loud Brent, the janitor, came in and shouted, “Stop, what are you doing and what is your name?”

       “My name is Pippi Longstocking and I’m playing with the furnace,” said Pippi.

       “When are you going to stop?” asked Brent.

       The two of them got in a big fight. So Pippi decided to buy another furnace for the school.
