There will be football versus YME here today at 7:00.

Due to safety concerns, student fans are not to be playing football or any other games at varsity football games.  Student fans are to watch the game.   Any football or equipment brought into the game will be confiscated. 

Any 9th – 12th grader  interested in competing in the Voice of Democracy essay contest should talk to Mrs. Antony.  Deadline for this contest is October 31.  This year’s theme is American History: Our Hope for the Future.   

The Canby Basketball Boosters is sponsoring a Timberwolves and Lynx basketball clinic on Saturday, November 11 from 11:15 to 12:30 for 7th and 8th graders.  Cost is $25.  All 7th & 8th graders should check their email for a copy of the registration form.

Photo Make-up Day will be November 1st.  Sign up in the high school office if you want your photos retaken.  You must return your original package when you get your photo retaken.

Students interested in taking the ACT test here in December should complete their on-line registration by November 3rd.

Sanford is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant Class beginning on October 29.  You can register with Julie Schlect at 223-7277, Ext. 217.  You must register by October 22nd.  See the flyer in the counseling office window for more information.

There will be no school on Thursday or Friday for EM break.

Parent/Student/Teacher conferences will be held today from 1:30 to 7:45 in the high school cafeteria.  Students will be dismissed at 1:00 today. 

There will be two Financial Aid meetings for all seniors and their parents in conjunction with conferences.  One will be at 3:00 and one at 6:00.  Seniors and parents are highly recommended to attend one of those meetings.

The cross county conference meet will be held here in Canby at 4:00 today.  Students will be dismissed at 2:45 and the bus will leave at 3:00.

Seniors will have counseling meetings with Dr. Slaba today during Period 1 and Period 2.  Students and teachers were emailed a list of the times the students should attend.  They will meet in Lab 109.

A representative from St. Cloud State will be here today at 1:00.  Stop in the office for a pass if you are interested in meeting with her.

The Jostens rep will be here today at noon by the Health Office for orders for class rings and graduation stuff.

A representative from the National Guard will be here today over lunch hour in the cafeteria.

Today is recycling day.  Please have your containers outside your door for pick up Periods 5 & 6.

There will be football versus Adrian here today at 6:30.  The band will play.  The girls’ locker room will be used by the visiting football team.  Please secure all valuables.  The locker room will be closed at 4:45.

The junior high football ice-cream social will be held today after school in Mr. Lutgen’s room.  Bring a lawn chair and your football equipment.

There will be a YAMS meeting on Friday at 7:45 in the choir room.

There will be no Student Council Meeting this week.

There will be a YAMS meeting on Friday at 7:45 in the choir room.

Any 7th-9th graders who missed this morning’s Knowledge Bowl practice, who would still like to join the team, please talk to Mrs. Frazeur in the office today.  If you can’t make the early morning practices because you ride a bus, you can still join.  We will have some practices during lunch hours.

Attention YAMS – Today is the last day to sign up for a YAMS t-shirt on the counseling office door.  Cost is $12 for the t-shirt. Today is also the last day for junior and senior YAM members to sign up for up for the Everyday Leader Event on the counseling office door.  There is no charge for this event.

The Senior Class Picture will be taken tomorrow morning at 8:00 am on the football field.
