There will be girls’ basketball at Lakeview today.  C squad will play at 4:45, B squad at 6:00 and Varsity will follow.  Students will be dismissed at 3:00 and the bus will leave at 3:15.

There will be rollerskating tonight at 7:00 in the old gym.  Cost is $3.50.  There will be no personal skates allowed in.

Attention YAMS:  The sign up sheet for helping with Kids’ Night Out is on Mr. Skogen’s door.

There will be an FFA meeting Tuesday morning at 7:45 AM to go over details for the petting zoo next Wednesday.

Next week is FFA week.  Watch for different events throughout the week.

Attention seniors:  There is a new scholarship application in the counseling office for anyone who farms in Lincoln County. 

There will be no school on Monday for the President's Day holiday.

Saturday’s events include:

            Wrestling Team sections at Windom at 12:30.  The bus will leave at 9:00.

            Senior high Speech at Redwood.  The van will leave at 7:00.

 

On the lunch menu today is Pizza or Honey Mustard Ham Wrap.

Today is recycling day.  Please have your containers outside your door for pick up Periods 5 & 6.

There will be boys’ basketball versus YME here today.  C squad will play at 4:45, B squad at 6:00 and Varsity will follow. 

There will be wrestling team sections here at Canby today at 7:00.  It will be held in the Old Gym.  Canby Activity Passes cannot be used for this event.

This week is Sno Week at CHS.  Dress up days will be:  Thursday – College Apparel Day, and Friday – Olympic Theme Day. 

The girls’ locker room will be closed today at 3:45 for the visiting basketball team.  Please secure all valuables.

Attention YAMS:  The sign up sheet for helping with Kids’ Night Out is on Mr. Skogen’s door.

There will be a YAMS meeting on  Friday at 7:45 in the choir room.

There will be an FCA meeting on Friday at 7:40 in the Media Center.  YAMS are not expected to attend.

The Aviation Club will not be doing concessions on Monday night.

There will be an FFA meeting Tuesday morning at 7:45 AM before school to go over final things for the petting zoo next Wednesday.

Congratulations to Delaney Houseman and Libby Nemitz who place 7th, and to Alise Hansen and Lilli MacArthur who placed 8th both in Duo Interpretation at yesterday’s Speech meet!

Hearts will be handed out to girls during Period 1 today.  If you talk to a boy, you must give him your heart.  The boy who has the most hearts at the end of the day wins!

This week is Sno Week at CHS.  Dress up days will be:  Wednesday – Red/White/Pink Day, Thursday – College Apparel Day, and Friday – Olympic Theme Day.  The Mr. & Ms. Lips coronation will be held today during 6th period.  Students should report to their 6th period class and after attendance is taken teachers can take their class down to the old gym.  Danceline will be dismissed at noon to eat lunch and get ready.

Registration for classes for next year will be done today during periods 1, 2, and 3.  Bring your registration form to class with you.

Congratulations to Cheyenne Fairchild who placed first in the regional FFA Proficiency competition yesterday!

There will be girls’ basketball at YME today.  There is no C squad.   B squad will play at 6:00 and Varsity will follow.  The bus will leave at 4:30.

There will be junior high Speech at Minneota.  Students will be dismissed at 2:27 and the bus will leave at 2:40.

There will be two assemblies today in the cafeteria with featured speaker Luke Nelson.  7th & 8th grade will be attending Period 2 and 9th-12th grade during Period 3.  Teachers should take attendance and then take their class down to the cafeteria.

Juniors who are taking the ACT Test on February 27th should report to room 211 today at the beginning of Period 4 to register for the test.

Students are reminded to bring back your signed registration forms on Wednesday so you can register for next year’s classes.

Congratulations to NHS and Chef Riley Veire for winning the dessert category with his mini-cheesecakes at Gourmet Guys and Gals fundraiser this weekend at Ivanhoe!

There will be boys’ basketball versus Wabasso here today.  C squad will play at 4:45, B squad at 6:00 and Varsity will follow. 

National Honor Society will be having a "Sweetie Pie" Auction tonight at the Boys' basketball game. This is a fundraiser for NHS scholarships.  So if you forgot to get your sweetie a Valentine, NHS has got you covered!  Buy a Pie at tonight's silent auction.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held today from 1:30 to 7:45 pm.  Students will be dismissed at 1:00 today.
