DISCOVER SCHOLARSHIP FOR JUNIORS:
Juniors who have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA, who can demonstrate accomplishments in community service and leadership and who have faced a significant road block or challenge may qualify for a $30,000 scholarship from the Discover Scholarship Program.

MINNESOTA ASSOCIATION OF TOWNSHIPS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:
The Minnesota Association of Townships is awarding $1,000 scholarships to up to four juniors currently attending a Minnesota public, private, or parochial high school or a home study program that plan to further their education at a college, university, or vocational school. Applicants must complete an application form and submit it along with a written essay discussing this year's topic: Minnesota is 150 years old. Township government has been an integral part of government in Minnesota since the beginning. Name several functions of township government and elaborate on why these functions were important them, and why they remain so today, even though methods of delivery may have changed.
Essays must be between 450 and 500 words, and must be typed with double spacing. A complete list of guidelines and the application form can be found in the Counselor's Office in the May monthly scholarship files.
Applications must be post-marked by May 1, 2008
