Recently passed by Congress:  

*  $4,000.00 per year for students pursuing teaching degree.

*  Must teach full-time in certain fields for 4 years within 8 years of degree completion.   --Becomes a loan that must be repaid if teaching obligation is not met.

*  Must have a 3.25 GPA or ACT, SAT, GRE in 75th percentile.

*  Eligible fields are math, science, special education, foreign language, bilingual education, reading or another high-need field.
