Youth As Resources, a board of 18 students and 4 adults, was established in 1994 after the ’93 floods.  It is the brainchild or Jack Calhoun, now retired CEO of the National Crime Prevention Council.  He believed that we were not tapping into one of greatest resources.  He said to youth, “We need your help, we cannot do this without you”.

YAR will fund youth or service learning projects to students from kindergarten to college age up to $1000.  If you want to learn more, check our website at:
