Did you know that approximately 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the U.S.?      You can sign up to donate at the NHS Blood Drive on Wednesday with Jordan Ries or Camryn Ufkin.   Donors are reminded to eat high iron foods with Vit. C foods for best absorption and drink extra fluids.  Also remember to bring your photo ID with you when you go to donate.  All donors will need their parents to call the high school to excuse them to leave for the Bloodmobile which will be held at the Schott’s building.

7th grade junior high football players will meet in Mr. Prosch’s room during 2nd period after attendance is taken for pictures.

There will be no school on Thursday or Friday for Thanksgiving break.

 

On the lunch menu today is Turkey and all the fixings.

A,B, and C squad volleyball need to meet after school today to turn in their uniforms and move some items.

Student Council has some Kettle Corn and White Cheddar popcorn yet for sale- $5 a bag.  See Mrs. Amy Gorder to purchase.

Students are reminded that hats and hoods are not allowed to be worn during the school day.

There will be section football playoffs at Lac Qui Parle Valley at 6:00 today.  Football players need to get their money turned in for tickets this morning.

There will be volleyball versus RTR here today at 4:45.

Thanks for helping us celebrate American Education Week!  Teachers, the Student Council has some treats for you in the mail room today!  There were 3 winners of the bitmoji guessing game who got all the answers correct:  Kortney Leppke, Rachel Harding and AshleeAnn Cole!  Please stop by the office to pick up your prize.

The high school office would like to thank the students and staff of Canby High School for your continued efforts with safety protocols of wearing a mask and social distancing.  We appreciate your diligence!

Today is recycling day.  Please have your containers outside your door for pickup Period 1.

There is no junior high boys’ basketball practice today.

There will be volleyball at Red Rock Central (Lamberton) today at 4:45.  Students will be dismissed at 2:15 and the bus will leave at 2:30.

Today during American Education Week, we want to take time to THANK all the Education Support Professionals in our school district.  Thank you to our Secretaries, Paraprofessionals, Janitors, Cooks, Administration, Bus Drivers, School Nurses, Substitute Teachers, and so many more people that make Canby Public Schools run from day to day!

Tomorrow as we wrap up American Education Week, we will be celebrating School Pride Day.  Make sure to wear Orange and Blue to celebrate our schools tomorrow. 

Today is your last chance to make your guesses for the bitmojis in front of the office.  The winner will be announced tomorrow.

There will be an FCA meeting on Friday at 7:40 in room 109.  Everyone welcome!
