NOTE: Hand in ONE Blue and Gold scholarship application for the following scholarships. The application for these scholarship may be accessed on this website at the left or in the high school counseling office.
Valedictorian & Salutatorian Scholarships -- Two $1700 scholarships are awarded based on grade point average and B&G criteria.
Community Initiative Scholarships – Several $1200 scholarships are provided to every qualifying student graduating from CHS.
Esther & Wesley Harms Scholarships --Two $1200 scholarships were created from the estate of Esther and Westley Harms.
G.O. Miller & Carolyn Miller Scholarship --This $1200 scholarship was created from the estate of Laura Miller, a teacher honoring her parents who farmed near Porter, and is given to a student pursuing agriculture studies.
Dakota Wind Ben Thovson Memorial Scholarship --This $1,200 scholarship is given by Dakota Wind in memory of Ben Thovson, a former CHS graduate and EMS employee. The award is presented to a senior pursing renewable resources or science.
Milt & Lois Hanson Scholarship -This $1,200 scholarship is given in memory of Milt & Lois Hanson to a student pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field.
Helena Agri-Enterprises Scholarship --A $1200 scholarship is awarded to a senior as a token of thanks to the community for support shown over the years.
Mark & Steve Schultz Memorial Scholarship -- A $1200 scholarship is given in memory of Mark ('80) and Steven ('82) to a student pursuing a major in an ag or medically related field.
Betty Merritt Memorial Scholarship -- A $1200 scholarship is given in memory of Betty Merritt to a student who is involved in community activities.
Berckes Agri Innovation Scholarship -- A $1200 scholarship is given to a senior pursuing a major in an ag or innovation related field.
Lavonne "Frau" Winters Memorial Scholarship -- A $1200 scholarship is given in memory of Lavonne "Frau" Winters to a senior pursuing a degree in education or an agriculture-related field.
The following 4 scholarships are matched each year by Blue and Gold for a total scholarship of $1200.
Ag Plus Co-op Association This $600 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior entering an agricultural program or pursuing cooperative education.
Canby Firemen's Scholarships --The Canby Firemen's Scholarship is a $600 scholarship which will be awarded to a senior attending a one or two year college.
Clark-Hanson VFW #117, Canby Scholarships --This $600 scholarship will be awarded to a senior who is entering the military or whose parents/grandparents are members of Clark-Hanson VFW Post #117, Canby.
Harold and Glendor Bliss Family Scholarship --This $600 scholarship is given to a senior who is entering in either a nursing or ag related field.
Porter American Legion Scholarship --This $600 scholarship is given to a CHS student.
Sally Vogt Memorial Scholarship --This $600 scholarship is given to a female student who displays leadership qualities.
Tom Jelen Memorial Scholarship --This $600 scholarship is given in memory of Tom by his family for someone who is enrolling in a medical related field.
