Everyone is invited to the Canby High School Musical "Aladdin Jr." on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28 at 7:00 pm in the old gym. Cost is $5 for adults and students are free.

The Junior High Student Council collected items for the local foodshelf during Snow Week. Junior high students were given the opportunity to use their phones over lunch time if they brought in a donation for the food shelf. Two boxes of items were donated. Way to go JH!
The Canby High School Senior High Knowledge Bowl team competed at sub-regionals on March 2nd at Ridgewater College in Willmar. They took on 21 teams from 12 different schools. Students answer questions in geography, science, English, history, art, math, foreign languages and current events to see who can get in the fastest and win the point. The Canby team scored well, placing in the top two rooms for two of the four rounds. They had their best meet of the season and qualified to go on to Regional competition on March 16. And they had fun too!!

As part of FFA Week at CHS, students raised money for the FFA Chapter. The chapter leader with the most money in their jar would get pied on Friday. If over $200 was raised, Mr. Dessonville and the student would get pied. If over $500 was raised, Dr. Slaba would be included as well. The group raised over $1000, so everyone got to enjoy a little pie on Friday! Thanks to all who donated!

The PBIS Champion Teacher belt was passed on to Mr. Heck this week! We want to thank Mr. Heck for always having a positive attitude. He not only wants students to learn academically, but also wants students to be the best versions of themselves they can be. He is a dedicated teacher who is respectful to all those around him.

Congratulations to Tami Peterson who was awarded the PBIS Champion Teacher belt award! Mrs. Peterson has headed up our social media posts for sports and school events, leads our National Honor Society chapter, shares leftovers from the cooking class with staff, and oversees the NHS blood drives. She is a positive influence for our students and someone who our students can trust. Presenting the award is Mr. Kockelman aka "Macho Man Randy Savage."
